Terms of Service

Effective: 4. 10. 2026 · Privacy policy

1. Provider

The service StrumIt! (the "service") is run by Tomáš Kňáva, DiS., company ID: 88906396, place of business: Mostecká 3855, 430 01 Chomutov (Fyzická osoba zapsaná v živnostenském rejstříku vedeném Magistrátem města Chomutov). The provider is not a VAT payer. Contact: info@strumit.online.

2. What the service is

StrumIt! is an online songbook: it lets you store songs with chords, transpose them, build playlists, tune a guitar, share the song you are playing in a live session and use a shared (Master) songbook. The features depend on the plan (Free or Premium) as shown on the Plans page.

3. Account

You need an account to use the service. Give true details and a working e-mail address, keep your password safe, and note that you are responsible for what happens under your account. An account is personal and can be created by people aged 15 or more (younger users only with a parent's or guardian's consent).

4. Plans and prices

The Free plan is free and includes the features listed on the Plans page (notably a songbook of up to 10 songs). The Premium plan costs 50 CZK a month or 500 CZK a year and includes the features listed on the Plans page. Prices are final: the provider is not a VAT payer.

A price change reaches existing subscribers only at their next renewal, and the provider announces it in advance by e-mail or in the service.

5. Free trial

Premium can be tried free for 7 days, once per account. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, the chosen price is charged when it ends and the subscription then renews automatically.

6. Payment and renewal

You pay by card through the payment provider GoPay. The operator never sees or stores your card number. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (month or year) and the price is charged until you cancel. If a payment fails, we try to charge it again, at most three times over the following days; if that fails too, Premium ends and the account returns to the Free plan. Meanwhile you can change your card in your account.

7. Cancelling the subscription

You can cancel at any time in your account (Plans, "Cancel subscription"). The cancellation takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for and Premium stays active until then. The unused part of a paid period is not refunded unless the law says otherwise.

8. Withdrawal (consumers)

If you are a consumer, you may withdraw from the Premium contract within 14 days of concluding it without giving a reason. Send the withdrawal to info@strumit.online. If you asked for the service to start before this period ends (for example by using the free trial or the Premium features), you pay a proportionate part of the price for the time the service was provided; we refund the rest within 14 days in the same way you paid.

9. Your content

The songs, lyrics and chords you put into the service stay yours. You allow the provider to store, display and back them up for you. Every song is private at first: only you can see it; others see it only if you show it in a live session (just the song open on your screen) or make it public.

Members with a Premium plan can make their songs public in the Master songbook. By making a song public you confirm that you have the right to share it, and you give the provider a non-exclusive, free licence to show it to the signed-in users of the service, who can add it to their songbooks as a copy and edit it. You can make the song private again at any time; copies other users have already added stay with them. When Premium ends, public songs stay public but cannot be changed (they can be made private).

The content of the Master songbook is created by users, not by the songwriters or the provider; the provider does not check it in advance and does not guarantee that lyrics or chords are correct. Any user can report a song. An administrator may hide or delete a reported or any other song at any time (where needed together with the copies in other users' songbooks); the owner of the song sees the reason.

You are responsible for having the right to use your content and for it not infringing the rights of others (for example copyright in lyrics and music). If you believe content in the service infringes your rights, use the "Report" button of the song or write to info@strumit.online; we will review it and remove it where appropriate.

10. Live sessions

The host of a live session is responsible for the content he shares. Guests enter a name that the host and the other guests in the session can see. Names must not be offensive or pretend to be someone else. A session ends when the host stops it, or after 12 hours without a change.

11. Rules of use

You must not misuse the service: for example disturb its operation, get around the limits of the plans, collect other people's content automatically or upload unlawful content. If you break the rules the provider may restrict or close the account.

12. Availability and changes

The service is provided as is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted operation; planned and unplanned outages are possible. Features may change and develop. A significant reduction of paid features will be announced in advance.

13. Liability

The provider is liable for damage to the extent set by law. We are not responsible for the correctness of songs, chords and lyrics entered by users. Consumer rights that cannot be excluded by contract remain unaffected.

14. Closing your account

You can close your account at any time by writing to info@strumit.online; we then delete your data as described in the Privacy policy. A subscription has to be cancelled separately (section 7).

15. Complaints and disputes

Send complaints to info@strumit.online; we will handle them without undue delay. A consumer may use out-of-court dispute resolution at the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (www.coi.cz) or the European online dispute resolution platform.

16. Governing law and changes

The relationship is governed by the law of the Czech Republic. We may change these terms; we will tell you about significant changes in advance. By continuing to use the service after a change takes effect you accept it, and with a subscription you have the right to cancel it.
